Unite Rank and File is holding its second National Meeting from 12.30 pm on Saturday 1 June at the Wood Green Social Club, 3-4 Crescent Street, Wood Green. We will be discussing how to build Unite Rank and File as a fighting grass roots left within Unite, and hold elections to our Steering Committee.
We are holding this important meeting in the run-up to Unite’s Rules Conference, due to take place at the end of June. We’ll be talking about how we can put democratising our union part of the Conference agenda.
We are also meeting at a time of increased grassroots activism over climate change – a topic we will be discussing at the meeting, where there will be guest speakers from the Campaign Against Climate Change.
The full agenda for the day is as follows:
Welcome and introduction
Elections to the Committee
Preparations for Rules Conference
Building Unite Rank and File
Unite and the Fight against Climate Change
Organising strike solidarity
The meeting is open to all Unite members who want to see a fighting rank and file members’ movement.
